Terms of service

EmpowHER is operated by Common Cents with Urshala, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, run by Urshala Bowles. Buying anything here means you agree to what follows.

What you are buying

Digital products and professional services, listed with their prices on Work With Me. Prices are in US dollars. Payment runs through Stripe, which handles your card details directly, because I never see or store a card number.

Delivery

The Understudy delivers immediately at checkout, as a page plus a backup email. Sessions and builds are scheduled after purchase, and the scope of every build is agreed in writing before work begins.

Recording

Sessions are recorded, and an automated notetaker produces a transcript and a summary I use to build your documentation and to remember what we decided. The recording and the transcript are yours as much as mine, and I will send them to you on request. If you would rather not be recorded, say so before we start and we will work without it.

Who owns what

You own the infrastructure and all of your own business data, always, in accounts billed directly to you. EmpowHER owns the methods, patterns, prompt structures, and architecture underneath the work, and reuses them with other clients. You receive a license to use what was built in your business. These terms are stated before delivery rather than applied afterward.

What this is not

I am not a lawyer, an accountant, or a licensed financial advisor, and nothing I build or say is legal, tax, or investment advice. AI systems make mistakes, which is why every build keeps a human decision point on the judgment that matters. You stay responsible for the decisions your business makes.

Limits on liability

If something I built or said causes you a loss, my total liability to you is capped at the fees you actually paid me for that work. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, which means lost profits, lost contracts, lost data, or business interruption, even where the cause was something I built. You keep the human decision point on every judgment that matters, and that is the design, not a loophole.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If we ever have a dispute we cannot settle between us, it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you agree to that venue. Before either of us files anything, we agree to talk first: email contact@urshala.com, and I will respond within 10 business days.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the bottom of this page changes with them. Anything you already bought is governed by the terms in force on the day you bought it.

Privacy

What I collect

• Your name and email, when you give them to me through a form or an email.
• Purchase records, held by Stripe. I see that a purchase happened and who made it. I never see your card number.
• Anything you choose to tell me about your business in a conversation, a session, or an intake form.

What I do with it

I use it to deliver what you bought and to answer you. Email lists run on Flodesk and every message has an unsubscribe link that works. That is the whole list of uses.

Who touches your data, so you know: Stripe for payments, Flodesk for email, Netlify for this site and its forms, Calendly for scheduling, and Zoom for sessions. Each holds only what its job needs.

What I never do

• Sell, rent, or trade your information. Not to anyone, not ever.
• Put your confidential business information into public AI tools.
• Hold your account credentials. When we build, the accounts are yours and billed to you directly.
• Add you to a marketing list because you emailed me a question.

Client confidentiality

What you tell me inside a paid engagement stays between us. I describe the shape of work publicly, meaning the kind of problem and the kind of result, and I do not name a client or reveal identifying detail without written permission.

Your choices

Email contact@urshala.com and ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I will do it within 30 days, other than transaction records I am required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, and I will not make you explain why.

Refunds

The Understudy, $27

It is delivered in full the moment you pay, as a prompt you can read and use immediately, so it is final and there are no refunds. If the delivery itself failed, meaning the page did not load or the prompt never arrived, email me with "delivery" in the subject line and I will either fix it or refund it that week.

The Groundwork and the build tiers

These are handled individually, because a $797 session and a $10,000 build are not the same conversation. If you cancel before we hold the session, you get a full refund, and after 90 days from purchase the payment converts to a credit toward any session or build rather than a refund. If something has gone wrong partway through, I will either redo the work or refund the portion that was not delivered, whichever fixes it, and we will sort it out like two adults who both want the work to be right. I would rather solve it than keep money that did not earn itself.

Chargebacks

Please email me before you call your bank. Every problem I have had in this business was fixable, and none of them got fixed faster by a dispute form.

Freedom is a strategy, not a fantasy. Knowing exactly what you are agreeing to is part of the strategy.
